It is the 47th SM Prime Holdings Mall in the Philippines but is one of the most beautiful that SM has created with a fluid design that was inspired by the elements of nature, according to its prestigious architects. It definitely is a wonderful addition to Taguig’s landscape.
The total complex housing the mall and the 30-story, mixed-used, commercial and civic center is all of 25 hectares while the mall has a gross floor area close to 250,000 square meters. What sets it apart is its sustainable design and green architecture including the waste and water treatment facility, a large green roof to reduce heat, and a strict compliance to international green standards.
Etymology and HistoryThe name ‘Aura’ is a combination of gold (Au chemical symbol) and radium (Ra chemical symbol) that put together “luxury and elegance that emanates from within”. SM Aura Premier started construction in 2009 on land that used to be part of Fort Bonifacio. It was formally opened on May 17, 2013.
Retail ShopsSM Aura Premier houses the first stores in the country of some prominent global brands including fashion retailers Stefanel, J Lindberg, BB Dakota, Suiteblanco, and Farah Vintage The anchor stores of SM include The SM Store (SM Department Store), SM Supermarket; Food on Four (SM Food Court), SM Appliance Center; Ace Hardware, Baby Company; Watsons, Our Home; Toy Kingdom, Forever 21; Uniqlo, and souvenir shop Kultura.
Some international fashion brands are American Eagle Outfitters, Arrow; Dorothy Perkins, Marks and Spencer; Nautica, Paul Frank; Regatta, Perry Ellis; T.M. Lewin, among others. Those looking out for quality beauty brands will find Clinique, MAC, and Kiehls while prestigious accessories shop include Rolex, Tag Heuer, Minelli, and Kipling. Local fashion brands like Peppermint for kids, Bench, Bayo, Folded and Hung, and Penshoppe.

CinemaThe entertainment scene of Taguig was got a boost with SM Aura’s two digital theaters, Taguig’s first 3D Imax Theater and the 32-seat Director’s Club Cinema with LaZ Boy recliners and a butler service
The Sky ParkThe Sky Park is the multi-level roof garden, a green respite in the polluted and urban chaos of Metro Manila located on the 5th floor of the mall. It is one nice place to walk around with a reflective pool, floating and hanging gardens, a striking Impy Pilapil sculpture and an al fresco dining area with dining establishments like Tamarind, Le Family; Coca, Yabu, Lugang; Happy Lemon, NBA Café; Todd English, Ramen Nagi; Ogetsu Hime, Barcino and Coffee Bean; and Tea Leaf. This place is especially refreshing at night especially with a cool breeze.
The Chapel of San Pedro CalungsodThis 250-seat chapel with its striking tubular design is located on the 7th floor and can be accessed through the elevator located between Tamarind and Lugang Café. It is a quiet place to meditate, relax and pray with its view of the BGC and Taguig. Mass schedule is 12 noon and 6 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m., 12 noon, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sundays.
Samsung HallThis is a 1,000-seater, egg-shaped performance hall for concerts, parties and events at the top of the roof. The egg-shaped skylights scattered on its roofs provide lantern-like glow.
SMX AuraThis event center has meeting rooms and function rooms that are perfect for meetings, exhibits and events.
SM Aura Office TowerThis 30-story commercial and civic tower has a combination of private and government offices including Social Security System, Pag-ibig; Bureau of Immigration, City of Taguig; PhilPost, and PhilHealth.
Mall HoursRegular mall hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sky Park is open from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. onwards.
How to Get ThereSM Aura Premier can be accessed from EDSA via Kalayaan Avenue then right to 32nd Street and right to McKinley Parkway. From EDSA corner Ayala Avenue, take McKinley Road and turn left at 5th Avenue then right to Rizal Drive and left to McKinley Parkway.
The fastest way to go to SM Aura Premier is by taxi. Shuttles are available to and from City of Dreams in Parañaque City throughout the day. The UV Express (van type public transport) has a terminal at the basement parking with service to and from Crossing, Guadalupe; Pateros, Pasig ; Rosario, Antipolo; Taguig, SM Bicutan; SM Masinag, SM Marikina; SM Moa, and SM Megamall.
By bus, take a bus the sign “Ayala Ibabaw” and get off at the unloading zone near the MRT Ayala station. At the jeepney terminal, take the BGC bus and the jeepneys going to Metro Market! Market!, SM Aura Premier is just across Market! Market!
For the more adventurous, look for jeepneys from EDSA-McKinley, Guadalupe Lawton Avenue-SLEX-PNR Nichols which have Market! Market and SM Aura signs.
