Owned by the company PIPPL (Pan India Paryatan Pvt. Ltd.), EsselWorld is a theme park which is located in Gorai (Wikipedia Article), Mumbai. The EsselWorld accompanied with its counterpart, The Water Kingdom, was established in 1986 over 64 acres of land, providing undiluted entertainment to all its visitors and those who come to visit this place.
According to statistical records, these two places, when put together, is recognized as the largest amusement park in India. The Water Kingdom is, as of date, also the largest theme water park built in whole of Asia.
It is said that EsselWorld and Adlabs Imagica, which is located near the city of Khopoli on Mumbai-Pune expressway are the only two amusement parks in India that are up to international standards.
The EsselWorld draws in an approximation of around 1.9 million visitors annually, out of which around 300,000 guests are kids and students.

What to See

This park is a famous home for a number of scintillating rides which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Within the premises of this park there are more than 13 varieties of rides, out of which more than 9 of them are adrenaline-pumping thrill rides.

One of the latest addition to the EsselWorld’s fun is the Shot-N-Drop, which is the India’s tallest tower ride. The free-fall drop to 190 feet is loaded with bungee jumping effects, that often makes this ride one of the most sought-after rides in the amusement park.

In addition to the conventional features that are found in all theme parks, such as the rides and the rollercoasters which are enjoyed by the tourists, EsselWorld also boasts of constructing the first ice skating rink in Mumbai. The ice skating rink in this park is approximately 3,400 square feet in its size and it maintains a constant rink temperature of less than 39 °F throughout the year.

There is also a huge dance floor in the EsselWorld theme park complex, which enables the visitors to hold dance parties in this park. The dance floor of this dancing pavilion is composed of tough glass, and to maintain an international demeanor, this place is equipped with the latest laser and colored lights, accompanied by high definition audio systems that captivates the crowd swaying on its dance floor.

In addition, this theme park also has a six lane bowling alley, which is popularly known as the “Riki’s Rocking Alley” by all the people living in and around Mumbai.

This bowling alley also has a built-in arcade and a mouthwatering food restaurant “Tandoori One” which is famous for its exquisite cuisine.
The other culinary attraction which are found across this theme park are Domino’s Pizza Hut, Happy Singh Da Dhaba - which serves Punjabi cuisines, Southern Treat- which serves South Indian delicacies, Petu’s Restaurant and Mother Dairy outlets that serves a wide variety of ice creams and desserts.

Scattered all across the park one can see and also buy faces of FAB-5, which is the official mascot for both Water Kingdom and for EsselWorld.
The FAB-5 Bandwagon is one of the most sought-after merchandise stores inside this park that allow visitors, who are on a shopping spree, to purchase low priced souvenirs, while visiting this enthralling theme park.

One can also have a wonderful interactive session with EsselWorld’s very own Robot- talk to him, you may just get a new insight to your life.

The Hedge-Maze is another beautiful area inside the EsselWorld where you can get lost for fun along with your friends and then wander around till you find the right way back to the entrance of this maze.

Last but not the least, The Monsters in the Mist which was inaugurated in this park by its CEO, Mr. Shirish Deshpande, in 2010 has been titled as the scariest ride in India. This ride which has been constructed on a 6,000 square feet area, is a four-minutes dark ride through a dark den filled with fog and mist which is accompanied by numerous adventures and thrills. One can experience more than 20 hair raising scenes while enjoying this ride which are supported with state-of-the-art hi-end audios and exclusive blood chilling animatronics.
The Monster in the Mist- was designed by the globally renowned dark attractions manufacturer “The Attraction Factory” which is based in Missouri, United States.

One can also enjoy a beautiful toy train ride and splash themselves in the water shoots while visiting this amusement park.

Ticket Rates

The entry fees to the EsselWorld are ₨ 490 ($7.84) for the kids (who are in-between 3.3 and 4.6measurement units? in height) and ₨ 790 ($13) for the adults. For senior citizens who are above 60 years the entry fee is ₨ 290 ($4.64).
There are also combined passes for both EsselWorld and the Water Kingdom in which the kids are charged ₨ 790 ($13) while adults are charged ₨ 1,000 ($16). The fees for the senior citizens who wish to buy this combo-ticket is ₨ 390 ($6.24).

Park's Opening Hours

The EsselWorld remains open on regular days from 10 am till 7 pm and on season days from 10 am till 8 pm.
19th April - 15th June, 18th October - 2nd November and 20th December- 4th January are the season days for 2014.

However, these dates generally changes in accordance to summer holidays, Diwali (Wikipedia Article) holidays and Christmas holidays every year.

How to Reach By Car

From Mumbai

If you want to hire a car, one can take the WEH (Western Express Highway), turn left to Kashimira and drive down to Mira-Bhayander Road from where one can look for numerous signage placed on the road which shall lead the visitors to the EsselWorld.

By Bus

By bus one can take the MBBT Bus no 4 from Bhayander Bus Depot that will drop the visitors directly at the entrance of this park.

From Gujrat

If you want to travel by car from Gujrat, one needs to take NH 8 and drive until they reach the Fountain Junction and thereafter, turn right towards Kashimira. From Kashimira, one needs to drive down through the Mira-Bhayander Road from where one can look for numerous signages placed on the road which shall lead the visitors to the EsselWorld.
It generally takes no more than 45 minutes to reach EsselWorld once you reach Kashimira.

By Ferry

One can also take EsselWorld’s very own ferry ride that sails from Marve-Malad and Gorai-Borivali and takes the visitors across to this park.
Ferries are available every 45 minutes from Marve-Malad and after every 15 minutes from Gorai-Borivali, and its costs ₨ 50 ($0.80) per ride.

By Private Bus

There are also several private buses which are owned by authorized travel agents that plies from Mumbai, Pune, Nasik, Ambarnath, Panvel, Ulhasanagar, Bhayandar and also from Gujrat which carries tourists and visitors who are willing to visit and enjoy the charm of the EsselWorld.
