Dakak Park and Beach Resort
Wikipedia | Google | Google Images | FlickrBlessed with a unique-shaped bay and a private 750-meter beach of powdery white sand, Dakak Park and Beach Resort has been one of the ultimate summer destinations in Mindanao since the 1990s. The resort features 15 acres of forest land and natural spring water feeding its pools.
Dakak is situated in Dapitan, Zamboanga del Norte, in Mindanao. The city of Dapitan is nicknamed the “Shrine City of the Philippines” since it is one of the most historically significant places in the country. The city is also well-known as the haven of Jose Rizal, whom the country considers as its national hero. Dapitan is also home to Gloria de Dapitan, the first theme park in Mindanao.
The word “Dakak” was derived from the sound of a certain bird that inhabits Dapitan. The resort was constructed in an area enclosed by mountains on the east side, and the Sulu Sea in the west. Dakak tactfully eludes the typhoon belt as it is surrounded by large islands, creating an ideal all-season destination for tourists and travelers.

Guests can also engage in water sports, horseback riding, and other forms of recreational activities. Through the years, Dakak has received various recognitions.
