Ayala Centrio Mall
Wikipedia | Google | Google Images | FlickrThe Ayala Centrio Mall, which opened on November 9, 2012, is the newest addition to the rapidly growing list of shopping districts in Cagayan de Oro City. The 3-story mall has an estimated floor area of 64,000 sq0 feet. Aside from the main building, Ayala Centrio also has a hotel within its area, Seda Centrio, a BPO (Business Process Outsourcing ) office, and a residential condominium tower. The mall is operated and developed by the Ayala Mall Corporation. The area where the Ayala Centrio Mall is situated in is a 3.7 hectare commercial complex right at the business district of Cagayan . The mall is also a few blocks away from Limketkai Mall and other major commercial establishments.
VisitingThe Ayala Centrio mall hours is from Monday to Sunday, 10 AM – 9 PM. It has three main entrances located along the three avenues it occupies. At the center of the mall is an open alfresco area with two well-preserved, old Acacia trees (signature design of most Ayala Malls in the country). The Centrio Garden features a mini-park where most people lounge and take pictures. The indoor garden also has a playground for children, making Ayala Centrio an ideal place for family bonding after shopping.
The mall houses 4 cinemas both incorporated with 2D and 3D technology. It has over 300 store outlets, upscale restaurants, and international designer boutiques surrounding the alfresco area and all over the mall. The 3rd floor of the Ayala Mall is also where the DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs) Office is located. The major anchor stores inside the mall are Rustan’s Fresh supermarket and Robinsons Department Store.
Just beside Centrio Mall is the premier 8-story Seda Hotel, which is one of the top accommodation options in the city. Another great project being developed beside the mall is the Ayala Centrio Tower which is a 23-story, residential condominium.
Getting ThereThe Ayala Centrio Mall is located along the city’s national highway and Corrales Avenue. Since it is situated just across Gaisano Mall, it is also considered as one of the busiest area in Cagayan de Oro. To get there from anywhere in the city, you can easily take a taxi or jeepney ride bound for Ayala Centrio. If you’re coming from Divisoria, you can take a motorela ride (motorcycle taxi) to the mall for only ₱7 ($0.15). Tourists who are arriving in Laguindingan International Airport can also take an airport shuttle to the mall. Most shuttles have a station around the mall area.
