When it comes to an exciting shopping experience, the Abreeza Mall in Davao City has it all for people with all kinds of tastes and styles. Located at J.P. Laurel Avenue in Bajada, the Abreeza Mall was the first Ayala shopping center in Mindanao (Wikipedia Article). The 3-storey shopping center was opened in May 2011, owned by Ayala Land and Accendo Commercial Corporation. The entire mall occupies 4 hectares of the entire 10-hectare complex (which is allotted for hotel, residential condominium, and other commercial projects).
Abreeza Mall is not just a cool hangout destination but is also one of Davao’s landmark tourist attractions. Abreeza is positioned at the heart of the city’s lifestyle district, and features a culture-inspired, innovative design with lush greenery around it.

Visiting

The unique resort mall has an amazingly-designed exterior and contains well-decorated interiors. Abreeza houses hundreds of designer boutiques, international and popular local brands, and gourmet restaurants not available in any other parts of Mindanao, making it a one-stop shop and a must-visit shopping destination. Most tourists who have visited the mall would say that the Abreeza looks and feels like the other popular malls in Manila, like Trinoma and Glorietta, big and spacious, upscale and elegant.

Abreeza’s 3rd floor is an open area with lots of stores and spas, this is also where most of the events inside the mall are held at. The mall’s Roof Garden is also a nice place to hangout especially at night, you can enjoy the view of the city lights under the bright, starry sky while feeling the cold, breezy air.
Aside from the posh bars and lounges outside the mall, another towering sight you’ll see is the Seda Abreeza Hotel, which is a 12-storey upscale and classy hotel owned also by Ayala Land.

Dining

Abreeza boasts a myriad of dining options and bars outside the main building. After strolling and shopping, head out to the Restaurant Row and check out a wide selection of restaurants and hangout places. Italian cuisines and great pizza can be enjoyed at Italianni’s, popular American favorites are at T.G.I Fridays, and if you’re into authentic Vietnamese flavors, dine at Hanoi Restaurant.

Getting There

Visiting Abreeza Mall is very easy, upon arriving at the Davao City International Airport (Francisco Bangoy Airport), just take a quick taxi ride to the mall for less than ₱200 ($4.40). Tourists can also take a jeepney ride to Abreeza from anywhere in downtown. Since jeepneys usually travel on routes, just hail one of the jeepneys going to Bajada (specifically along J.P Laurel Avenue), most jeepneys heading to Abreeza will also have a sign at the front of their vehicle. Mall hours is from Monday to Sunday, 10AM - 9PM.
