JPark Island Resort & Waterpark Cebu, formerly known as Imperial Palace Waterpark Resort and Spa, is located in Maribago Road, Mactan, Cebu, Philippines. This family-friendly 5-star resort has a waterpark, private white-sand beachfront and lush tropical gardens. It is mostly popular with Korean tourists.

Accommodations

Totalling 8 hectares, there are 48 lifestyle villas and 508 luxuriously furnished rooms guaranteed to provide a comfortable stay in this popular leisure destination. All rooms and villas include flat-screen TVs with cable and a DVD player, a radio clock with a MP3/ iPod dock, coffee/tea making facilities, a mini bar, a refrigerator, a safety deposit box and free Wi-Fi access as well. The well-appointed bathrooms are provided with toiletries, hairdryers, slippers and bathrobes. The lifestyle villas each have its own pool and Jacuzzi, sundeck, king bed and mini living room.

Dining

The dining options available at JPark make it an attractive destination for locals and tourists alike. There are 8 classy restaurants in the resort including the 110-seater Olive which offers the best of Filipino comfort food as well as a great menu of Asian and Mediterranean food such as truffle pappardelle, Thai pomelo and shrimp salad and moussaka with Greek salad. The Abalone is the perfect place for those who want a variety of choices. It is a 390-seater restaurant with an extensive international buffet and a generous dessert station open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its outdoor terrace gives a great view of the waterpark.

Ching Hai offers modern and classic Chinese dishes like the dimsum basket plus a long list of traditional Chinese wines. It has an open style kitchen and opens for lunch and dinner only. Korean style table-grilled meat and Korean dishes like hotpot and teppanyaki are available at Maru. Coral Seaside is a separate dining outlet by the beach open for dinner with fresh seafood and modern Mediterranean food. There’s a great view of the ocean even when you are dining indoors. Have pastries and coffee at the JLounge Café. You don’t even have to get out of the pool to get some snacks and cocktails as there is the swim-up Agus Pool and Island Bar.

Swimming

The waterpark at JIsland includes a private beach, water slides and 6 themed swimming pools. The island pool has a mini waterfall, sparkling blue waters and the Agus Pool and Island Bar. You can just lounge and relax while the current takes you on a leisurely ride at the Amazon River with a depth of 3.5 feet.

Enjoy the sensation of sea waves at Wave Rider, the artificial tide pool with a depth of 3.5 feet. The waves are scheduled at different times of the day only, though. The Beach Pool connects the Amazon River and Wave Rider and has a beach-like shoreline. The 1.6-feet Captain Hook’s Pool is a wonderland for kids as they play pirates in the pirate ship, slides and a lot of splashing water. The Toddler’s Pool is a great place for the little ones to enjoy the water.

Relax and Rejuvenate

Experience the sense of well-being that the holistic treatments and massage services of Cara Spa provide. It is designed with a modern theme
and is open from 12:30 p0 feet to 11:00 p0 feet

For those who want to relax outdoors with a good book or a favorite movie, cabanas located around the waterpark and beach area are available for a minimum of 3 hours rental. Each cabana has its own sofa, sun loungers, TV with DVD player and Playstation 3 plus a refrigerator with soda and water. Food service is available.

Entertainment

The Casino at JPark with world-class amenities and services is divided into different play sections that provide a selection of games. Club Ami is open from 10 a0 feet to 2 a0 feet and is a great place to unwind and sip your favorite drink while enjoying its live entertainment or singing your heart out in one of the 3 VIP karaoke rooms. The most authentic Korean Pat Bingsu in town is served in this bar.

From 10 a0 feet to 10 p0 feet everyday, the JPI Amigos offer various entertainment that ranges from water games, races and aqua aerobics.

Sports Facilities

Jet ski, wakeboarding, banana boat, island hopping and scuba diving are just some of the adventures available at the Dolgorae Marine shop. Open from 9 a0 feet to 5 p0 feet, the shop also offers diving courses and island hopping packages.

Practice those swings at the miniature golf course set in a mini forest-like area near the waterpark. Although mini, it is highly appreciated by those who love challenging game rules and a varied terrain that ranges from an easy course to the tricky obstacle terrain. Equipped with real golf putters, five players can play together in this 7-hole mini course.

The resort has its own fitness center and a game room with billards, Wii and PS3. Those with more energy to spare can go to the Maru Garden where the go kart race course is located. It has top of the line BERG Extra AF Sports go-karts.

For the younger ones, the Kids Club has prepared fun activities including arts and crafts.

Travel Tips

Children should be accompanied at all times especially while using the water park to prevent any accidents. Please do not rely solely on the lifeguards especially when there are a lot of guests.
